Kan Law

Fund GP | Chief Executive Officer

Kan Law is the founder, Chief Executive Officer, and fund GP of MetaOriental Venture Studio. He has long worked in cross-border business practices centered on investment and anchored in industry and brand building, with a focus on consumer sectors, frontier technology, artificial intelligence, and fintech. He pays close attention to how brand-led companies build long-term value and scale globally.

On the investment side, his research and investments cover core Nasdaq assets such as the MEGA7, U.S. consumer equities, Chinese ADRs, and China’s STAR Market. He emphasizes industry logic, brand strength, and sustainable growth structures as core judgment criteria, gradually forming a systematic and repeatable investment methodology.

On the industry and brand side, Kan previously worked at Lenovo and Mars, participating in market and brand management practices that laid a strong industry foundation for his judgment in brand investment value, brand incubation, and brand M&A. He currently serves as Executive President of the U.S.-China E-Commerce Trade Association and President of the U.S.-China Global Business Innovation Alliance.

Kan holds dual master’s degrees in MIA and MBA from Columbia University. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Trade Economics at the School of Business, Renmin University of China, and previously served for many years as Executive President of the Renmin University North America Alumni Association.

Guang Yang

Fund GP | Chief Investment Officer

Guang Yang is MetaOriental’s Chief Investment Officer and fund GP, with more than 11 years of U.S.-based investment and capital-operations experience. He previously worked at one of the world’s top three REIT institutions, where he led multiple cross-border M&A and capital-integration projects at multi-billion-dollar scale, building full capabilities across asset allocation, transaction execution, and post-investment management.

At MetaOriental, Guang is fully responsible for investment strategy, portfolio valuation, and risk management. He focuses on the long-term capital growth paths of AI consumer products, smart hardware, and new brand assets, emphasizing cash-flow quality, asset-structure stability, and sustainable expansion capacity.

Guang has also long participated in alumni and industry organization building. He currently serves as a council member of the Renmin University North America Alumni Association and Executive President of its Boston Alumni Association.

Felton Fei

Fund GP | Chief Compliance & Risk Officer

Felton Fei is MetaOriental’s Chief Compliance and Risk Officer and fund GP. She is fully responsible for building the compliance system at both the fund and company levels, designing financial and tax risk-control frameworks, and supporting overall governance for cross-border business under audit, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Felton is a U.S. Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs. She has tax-collaboration experience with J.P. Morgan Private Bank and Morgan Stanley Private Bank.

She previously worked in the financial-services divisions of Big Four accounting firms, providing specialized tax planning and one-stop financial and tax consulting services for public companies, high-net-worth families, and cross-border enterprises. She has also served ultra-high-net-worth clients including members of the Saudi royal family, bringing professional-service experience defined by high standards, strong compliance, and strict confidentiality.

Dong Chen

Fund Management Advisor

Dong Chen is MetaOriental’s Chief Investment Advisor and fund GP, with more than 20 years of cross-border investment and corporate-management experience. His career began at Procter & Gamble, where he served as Global Market Strategy Manager for Greater China and was responsible for regional market and brand strategy.

He later joined a leading China-U.S. hedge fund as a fund manager, responsible for multi-industry portfolio management and international capital operations. He has mature experience in transaction-structure design, cross-border capital organization, and risk control.

At MetaOriental, Dong mainly provides strategic guidance on fund-architecture design, transaction-structure arrangement, investment and financing paths, and global capital allocation, supporting the company in building a stable, compliant, and sustainable investment and governance system in complex cross-border environments.

Dong received his bachelor’s degree from the School of Finance at Renmin University of China and later earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Yuxiao Hu

Fund Management Advisor

Yuxiao Hu is MetaOriental’s Fund Management Advisor, with more than 10 years of primary-market investment experience. He previously worked in the investment-banking department of Guotai Haitong, where he was responsible for IPO and M&A projects across hard technology, media, healthcare, and other sectors.

He later worked at a large domestic fund-of-funds and direct-investment fund, participating across the full investment lifecycle including fundraising, investment, post-investment management, and exits.

Yuxiao received his bachelor’s degree from the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and later earned a Master of Arts from City University of Hong Kong and a Master of Science from Columbia University.

Wayne Hong is MetaOriental’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for overall financial management, internal-control system building, capital-structure planning, and medium- to long-term financial strategy. He fully supports the company’s financial resilience and compliance throughout cross-border investment and operations.

Wayne previously worked at Deloitte and CITIC Securities, where he deeply participated in M&A restructuring, corporate reorganization, and complex financial-structure design projects. He brings extensive experience advancing transaction execution and financial governance across multi-regulatory environments.

Wayne graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in finance.

Beiqing Huang is MetaOriental’s Chief Product Officer, responsible for product strategy, user insights, and product-system planning. He drives the full-chain operating loop from market-demand identification and product definition to commercialization.

He previously worked as a Ray-Ban Meta product developer and data scientist, deeply participating in and witnessing the full process from product launch to rapid growth for Meta smart glasses. He has a deep understanding of target-market characteristics and internal industry dynamics.

Beiqing received his bachelor’s degree through a dual-degree program at Renmin University of China and Peking University, and earned his master’s degree from Duke University.

June Gong is MetaOriental’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for supply-chain coordination, compliance management, and project-execution system building. He ensures efficient linkage between Asian manufacturing systems and U.S. market delivery, helping cross-border projects land steadily in multi-constraint environments.

His work covers product fulfillment, process governance, milestone control, and the establishment of cross-team collaboration mechanisms, ensuring the company’s operating system is reproducible and scalable.

June previously served as a Senior Product Manager at ByteDance, participating in localization design and market-entry strategy for global products. He received his bachelor’s degree from Fudan University and earned a master’s degree from New York University.

Dr. Yiran Su has more than 18 years of overseas study, life, and work experience across the United States, Europe, and Australia. Moving through different cultures, markets, and lifestyles has given her a distinctive perspective: she focuses not only on what consumers buy, but also on how they are moved by a story, how they build trust with a brand, and how brand meaning is understood, translated, and reshaped across cultural contexts.

Dr. Su has long focused on cross-cultural consumer insights, digital marketing, big-data analytics, and brand growth, with particular attention to consumer differences across China, the United States, and global markets, as well as new-media platform logic, creator ecosystems, and brand storytelling. She is skilled at turning large-scale consumer data, social media data, surveys, interviews, eye-tracking, facial-expression analysis, and other multi-source information into commercially meaningful brand insights that support brand positioning, content strategy, TikTok Shop growth, founder brand-building, and cross-border market entry. She has also provided brand-service support to leading entertainment companies, professional sports teams, and athletes, helping clients find more accurate and recognizable expression across cultural influence, fan relationships, and commercial opportunity.

Dr. Su is also an Assistant Professor at the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her research and teaching span digital marketing, consumer behavior, AI, emerging media, sports, and lifestyle brands. For her, truly effective brand growth is not only about greater exposure or faster conversion, but about understanding how people in different cultures perceive value, build relationships, and form long-term trust. She hopes to use cross-cultural vision, data-analysis capabilities, and close observation of people to help brands achieve more distinctive and sustainable growth in a complex global consumer environment.

Hongqin Huang graduated from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and focuses on strategy consulting and brand incubation in consumer goods and retail. He has years of hands-on operating experience helping Chinese consumer companies enter the North American market. He has led multiple 0-to-1 new category and brand projects covering product definition, market-entry strategy, and localized operations.

In U.S. market expansion, he has end-to-end practical experience spanning market research, team building, and sales network development, and has successfully driven multiple projects into scaled growth.

His project experience spans food and beverage, smart electric mobility, and retail consumer goods. He has helped multiple leading Chinese brands with multi-billion-RMB scale complete the loop from product innovation to commercialization in the U.S. market and achieve million- to ten-million-dollar sales breakthroughs within three years. As the founder of New Blueprint Consulting and an important member of MetaOriental, he focuses on supporting Chinese companies in category innovation and localized growth in North America.

Kaifeng graduated from the School of Business at Renmin University of China. He previously worked at the head office of Ping An Bank, where he was responsible for financial marketing and corporate client strategy.

He has served leading Chinese and international companies including Unilever, Jaguar Land Rover, Samsung, Citroen, Volkswagen, Yili, Xiaomi, and Dongfeng Group, bringing cross-industry experience in brand positioning, integrated communications, and growth execution.

At MetaOriental, Hao is responsible for global brand positioning, user growth, and communications-system development. He helps investment brands evolve from “product export” to “brand globalization,” building long-term, sustainable market influence with cultural resonance.

Shengnan Liu focuses on the global layout and operation of sales platforms for AI hardware consumer products. She has more than 20 years of investment and entrepreneurship experience. Early in her career, she worked deeply in venture capital, leading due diligence and capital decisions across multiple industries and covering more than a thousand companies. She later founded a global trading company for core AI data-center hardware, including server memory, hard drives, and CPUs, and has worked in the industry for 12 years across Asia and North America.

At MetaOriental, Nina is responsible for overall strategy and global business development, with a focus on AI consumer products, smart hardware, and the global circulation system for related supply chains. She drives the scalable transformation of industrial resources toward consumer markets and value reconstruction.

Working across both capital and industrial front lines for many years, Nina combines investment judgment with hands-on operating experience. She has sharp insight into consumer trends and technology evolution, and continues to explore growth paths for AI hardware in new consumer scenarios.

Jiahe Chen is MetaOriental’s Chief External Relations Advisor, focused on strategy consulting, supply-chain field diligence, and cross-border go-to-market strategy execution in the AI hardware sector. With deep understanding of the underlying logic of the industry, she is committed to building a standardized path for AI hardware to move from “Made in China” to “Global Brand.”

On the industrial implementation side, she led and completed technical-path analysis and supply-chain reliability validation for AI hardware products in the market with mass-production solutions.

On the data and management side, she has provided real-time-data-based performance-analysis decision consulting for Duke University varsity teams, demonstrating strong quantitative-analysis and strategic-planning capabilities. She also actively promotes ecosystem building and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Renmin University Zhejiang Alumni Association, where she is responsible for integrating alumni resources with frontier industrial technologies.

Jiahe earned her master’s degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and received her bachelor’s degree from Renmin University of China, majoring in French with a minor in blockchain and digital economy.

Haoliang earned his master’s degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, and received bachelor’s degrees in computer science and mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and Sichuan University.

Tone graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York. She previously served as Design Director for Amazon Seller Center and led design and brand-strategy projects for international top-tier brands including LVMH, Estee Lauder, Xiaomi U.S., and Lady M.

Her role is to translate complex technology, business, and brand narratives into more distinctive visual language and experience systems.
